Most of you must have seen/read/heard about the new Microsoft advertisement campaign with Jerry Seinfeld.
The campaign running into $300 Million dollars, doesn't seem to be conveying much here.
It shows a dysfunctional family, attempts at humor, doesn't really talk about products or services (directly or indirectly). The 22 minute long segment broken into multiple pieces seems to indicate creativity, but definitely no marketing skills. The money could have been well spent on doing some grass root level analysis and come up with better product management.
Till then, apple you surely have some time on hands to cover ground.
If the objective of the campaign, was to overshadow the apple campaign's, well the verdict is pretty clear, Apple has nothing to worry about.
