• Word of mouth is not equal to manipulation.
• Inspire word of mouth by respecting customer feedback, thanking them, and working on the feedback.
• Viral marketing - advertisement is talked about, not the product.
  
• Word of mouth - actual sharing of an opinion about a product or service between consumers.
• The bottom line ALL STARTS WITH A GREAT PRODUCT
  

You can build crap, market the hell out of it, the product will not succeed. Build a great product, and word of mouth marketeers will do the rest.
